The Heavenly Collection is a range of vintage-inspired wedding dresses, closely modelled on fabulous original dresses. Please scroll down to view the designs, displayed by decade below.

Each vintage-inspired dress is handmade using the finest quality lace, satins and silks sourced from ateliers around the world. Available in a full range of sizes, each dress can be personalised to suit your own style and flatter your body shape with a range of options including different skirt lengths, trims, colours and sleeves.

1930s STYLE WEDDING DRESSES

ANGEL

Handmade in exquisite Nottingham lace, ANGEL is a romantic wedding dress closely modelled on a stunning 1930s wedding dress – subtly updated for a flattering fit. The lace is made exclusively for us by a small family firm, to an original vintage design.

Angel’s lovely features include delicate fluted sleeves, a slender bodice, and a cleverly panelled skirt and short train for graceful movement.

Price from £1150 to £1395 depending on choice of lace. Price includes satin slip.

Fitting is charged separately as it can be different for each bride.

BUTTERFLY

A dreamy, romantic dress in stunning Nottingham lace. Butterfly has a soft ‘mermaid’ skirt, and waterfall frill at the neckline. Its elegant proportions are closely based on an original 1930s lace wedding dress.

Price, from £1095 to £1295 depending on choice of lace. Price includes satin slip.

Fitting is charged separately as it can be different for each girl.

– This dress looks beautiful with a small train at the back of the skirt.
– Different shades of satin underslip draw attention to the unique lace. Consider ivory satin (seen here), soft dusky pink, champagne, or cappuccino.

VIOLETTE

A sophisticated style, based on a 1930s original – with a subtly updated neckline, a sweet petal-shaped sleeve, and a small train. This style is also newly available with a delicate French lace cap sleeve and back panel.

The beautiful Art Deco seam patterns make Violette very special, and the bias cut heavy silk satin gives a slinky feel.

1940s STYLE WEDDING DRESSES

BETTE

Inspired by the glamorous stars of the 1940s, this dress is based on a gorgeous evening gown. It is very well cut, and is a really figure-flattering dress.The silk crepe fabric has a lovely heavy drapey quality, and the soft pleats on the upper section of the skirt are asymmetric and create a small peplum effect. Bette has a subtle cowl neck at the front and a low back with sparkling ivory and silver beaded trim.

Price £1295 in silk crepe including sparkly beaded belt, or structured silk crepe belt with buckle.

Make it your own. Design options:

– A small belt completes the look. Choose from a chic and simple covered buckle or make it pretty with a reproduction vintage diamante buckle for extra glamour.

1950s STYLE WEDDING DRESSES

BLANCHE

Based on a perfectly proportioned 1950s dress, Blanche is a sweet flirty shape in gorgeous French lace, with a pretty sweetheart bodice. The dress has a boat neck, low back and flattering short sleeves. This lovely shape flatters most body types.

Make it your own. Design options:
– The neckline is finished with a sparkly lace trim, but can also be trimmed in un-beaded French lace.
– Consider a toning lining fabric, for a deeper colour or to show off the lace pattern.
– Three-quarter sleeves and longer skirt also look gorgeous, see images below

CHANTILLY

This super-pretty dress is based on a classic 1950s shape. The lovely swishy skirt is made in a really special Italian silk organza, and the bodice is made from fine french Chantilly lace with a contrasting mocha lining for a pretty vintage colour effect.

DOROTHY

Dorothy is a new version of the 1950s-style Blanche dress (above), and features a fuller, longer skirt for a soft romantic look. A really versatile dress, Dorothy can work in so many different ways: I’ve shown it here in ivory silk and corded lace, using the beautiful border for the sleeve and hem.

Make it your own. Design options:
– As well as the pretty short-sleeve shown here, Dorothy looks fabulous with a three-quarter or full-length sleeve.
– The neck can be softly scooped (as shown) or a chic V-neckline
– Different lace options are available, and different coloured linings (pale apricot looks stunning!)

COLETTE

Colette is the perfect cover-up for a vintage wedding dress. This chic bolero in delicate lace slips over your vintage dress to prettily cover any exposed skin for the more formal part of the day. It can then be shrugged off later to show off your glamorous dress.

1960s STYLE WEDDING DRESSES

STELLA

Stella is based on an early 1960s cocktail dress: a glamorous look, but one which is more elegant and pared-down. Perfect for a bride who wants their dress to be chic and unusual.Classy and stylish in head to toe lace, Stella has a super 60s cut – feminine and flattering, with a slightly higher waist, and subtle tulip skirt for slender-but-curvy styling. This cut cleverly streamlines the silhouette to flatter almost all body types.

Stella can also be finished with a little grosgrain ribbon bow at the waist, for pretty and authentic 60s styling.

ORDERING & FITTING

QUALITY

My Heavenly Collection is made locally by a highly skilled team. Attention to detail is superb. For example: each button loop is made by hand; all seams are ‘French seams’; trims and decoration are carefully selected and added by hand. Additional trims such as crystal beaded belts and handmade silk flowers can be ordered and are priced separately.

Please expect between two and three fittings, and allow around three months from start to finish. This also allows time for fitting after the dress arrives. If the dress is given to the client for fitting nearer to their home, then making a dress takes six to eight weeks (not including fitting) from ordering.

Please note fitting with my expert seamstress is charged separately as it can be a very small amount of alteration or in some cases more changes are require. It is very hard to give a price that ‘fits’ all clients.

Our prices however are very reasonable and we will endeavour to keep costs down for you.

PACKING

Dresses come with elegant satin hangers and a breathable dress bag.
