This wonderful little dress was worn by a bride in Ipswich in 1962. It is a wonderful example of 1960s chic, beautifully made from a pale glowing gold floral brocade or jacquard fabric, with a soft shine.
Hitting just below knee length, with gorgeous scalloped boat knock, long fitted sleeves and clever seams to create a perfect balance of volume in the skirt.
It’s in perfect condition, having been treasured by it’s first owner for 57 years, the bride told me that she loves it and has taken great care of it – but wants to see it worn again. She hopes the new girl will be as happy on her big day as she was wearing it !
I am a bit in love with it myself! Please have a look on my Etsy shop for more details or make an appointment to try some gorgeous dresses on at my West London Studio. Or just ask by email for more pics. info.https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/727592212/enchanting-pale-gold-60s-brocade-vintage?
